Mobil Delvac MX Extra 10W-40 a heavy-duty motor oil with Synthetic Technology that provides excellent lubrication of today's gasoline and diesel engines operating in severe conditions to keep engines clean and promote long engine life. This product meets or exceeds the requirements of most of the key European and American manufacturers of diesel engines. Mobil Delvac MX Extra 10W-40 oil is designed on high-quality base stocks and today’s additive system to provide excellent viscosity and temperature properties, protect from soot formation, ensure excellent oil resistance to oxidation and protect the engine from corrosion, thus providing long engine life. Excellent properties of this all-season oil ensure perfect starting capabilities and pumpability of the oil at subzero temperatures. Application of high-power diesel engines with advanced ecological parameters significantly raised requirements to the used lubricants. Space-saving design of engines led to the reduced oil volume and minimized refill amounts. Upper piston rings are located higher on the pistons which makes the oil work closer to the combustion chamber where high temperatures increase thermal stresses on the oil. Increased pressure of fuel nozzles and shortened ignition phases led to better emission control, but enhanced operating temperatures and loads on the oil in terms of soot formation control.
